Deco's New Speciali Boots

In a unique collaboration between Umbro, player and artist, we can reveal the exclusive design that Deco will be sporting on the bottom of his Speciali boots. Deco's boots feature a very special design entitled 'Believe', which was created by acclaimed contemporary artist Stuart Semple.
The idea behind this collaboration began months ago, when Stuart was invited up to look at Umbro’s archives as inspiration for a new piece of art. Drawing on Manchester’s unique cultural heritage, iconic football imagery and ideas of strength and passion, Stuart created a piece of art that brought all these elements together into a vibrant, modern whole.
Here at Umbro, we’d launched our competition to design your own outsole for a pair of Specialis, and felt that Stuart’s design would make a great pair of boots for a creative player. With Deco in mind we created this one-off pair of Specialis, which also feature the new white/black/gold colourway. Deco got to see the boots for the first time earlier this week, and he was extremely pleased with the results.
“It’s fantastic, they’re really different boots with a really great design,” he said, “and I’m looking forward to wearing them in the next game I play in. I’m sure the other players in the dressing room will be very impressed.”
